We will be running the 2016 iolite workshop in conjunction with the 2016 Goldschmidt conference in Yokohama, Japan. It will be held on the weekend before the conference, and will include the basics of how to use iolite, along with in depth tutorials on how to use the trace elements, U-Pb geochronology, and imaging data reduction schemes. It is suitable for users ranging in experience from absolute beginners to intermediate users.

Dates: Saturday 25th of June (9am – 5pm), Sunday 26th of June (9am – 3pm, plenty of time to get to the ice breaker)

Venue: Pacifico Convention Center, Yokohama

Cost: 30000JPY (~$250US) for both days (15000JPY/ ~$150US for students). Sorry, no single day rate. Students, please bring your student ID card with you to the workshop.

What to bring: A laptop with mouse and power cable. The screen resolution should be at least 1280 x 800. Please note that windows 8 machines may have screen resolution issues (minor), and that non-English operating systems may encounter significant issues. Pens and paper.
