    Hi Guys,

I’d like to be able to obtain LODs using the X_Trace_Elements_IS DRS, but there is no option of ‘CalculateLODs Yes/No’ that can be found in the Trace_Elements DRS. If it is possible to calculate LODs using the X_Trace_Elements_IS DRS I’d be very grateful for any instructions on how it can be done.

    I’m running on a Mac, Igor Pro v. 6.37, Iolite v. 3.4.

    Thanks very much,
    John

    Hi John,

The LODs are calculated by default in the X_Trace_Element_IS DRS. Just make sure you have selected a valid LOD method in the “LODmethod” box. The LOD methods available are “Normal” (Longerich et al. 1996, JAAS); “Howell” (Howell et al. 2013, CG); and “Pettke” (Pettke et al. 2012, OGR).

    Hi Tephy,

Thanks a lot for your reply and confirming that LODs are calculated by default with the X_Trace_Element_IS DRS. My exported data sheets didn’t include the LODs initially. For others wanting to view LODs using this DRS do the following:

Under ‘Results’ tab>Data Table>Filter Channels>check ‘include LOD’ box.

    John
